The Infant Room
We Welcome Your Visits _ The Infant Room (3 months to 18 months)
The Infant Room at Parkside is designed to provide a rich environment, nurturing meaningful relationships that create strong attachments between Teachers and babies. Challenging and child-focused learning opportunities are provided, both indoor and out, by fun, loving, and supportive caregivers.
Our experienced and specially educated staff use their knowledge of infant development
to create spontaneous learning opportunities. Planned curriculum utilizing parent input, provides a guide for teachers to support development in all areas. A general, adaptable schedule provides routines that create predictability and reduce anxiety.

Children learn to play cooperatively with their peers in a safe and nurturing environment.
The Toddler Room
The Toddler Room (15 months to 2-1/2 years)
Toddlers learn and thrive in their power to communicate, move, and assert their independence and individuality as they transition academically, physically, and socially from babies to preschoolers.
To help with this transition, our well planned classroom environment allows opportunities for child-directed and Teacher-directed activities. Each day we enjoy age appropriate, large-group circle times, small group art, sensory, fine motor and large motor activities and child-directed independent play time.
We encourage each child's self-help skills including handwashing, using utensils, feeding themselves, dressing, and potty training!

The Preschool Room
The Preschool Room (2-1/2 to 4 years)
The preschool room has a dedicated teaching team with a great ratio of adults to children. This helps us ensure that your child will be more able to get their individual needs met.
Our curriculum is based on a series of developmentally appropriate themes set up at the beginning of the year, which is also open to change with the children's interest. It's a center-based classroom designed for the children to make their own choices of play. We incorporate art, beginning math concepts, music and movement, dramatic play, cooking, science and nature, and field trips along with our daily activities.
Our teaching team is prepared to foster your family's diverse needs and children's learning styles in the classroom. Your child will be presented with all sorts of opportunities to learn and grow in the developmental domains of: social & emotional, fine, and large motor skills. We have a loving, fun, and safe classroom for your little kiddos' first preschool experience!
