Gretta Sagolla is the Early Learning Coordinator for Eugene School District 4J, where she provides Professional Development for PreK-5 educators, manages district-run preschool and kindergarten transition programs, and works closely with kindergarten teachers and community service providers. Her classroom experience includes teaching kindergarten, first grade, and small group reading. Gretta's professional passions include working with emergent readers and using Conscious Discipline as a framework to help kids and adults develop skills to access their calm and stay regulated in order to learn and to live a joy-filled life.
Gretta lives with her partner, Jason Murphy, and their daughter, Alma who is currently in the Preschool room at Parkside. Together they experiment in their garden, take care of their rescue chicken, Ruby, and enjoy all the events and resources Eugene offers for young families. In her personal life, Gretta is most happy losing time in the woods or paddling through some body of water and believes we all could use more playtime! |
